Dakar is the most adventurous, perilous and exciting rally in the world. 8,000km in 14 stages, through Peru, Argentina and Chile. Stones, mountains, desert, heat, cold, bush, dunes and rivers with a coded roadbook of navigation into some of South America’s wildness. Cyril Despres conquered the bike class again on KTM 450cc technology and was followed in the standings by Ruben Farin, Chaleco Lopez, Ivan Jakes and Joan Pedrero. For Frenchman Despres 2013 represented a fifth Dakar triumph and for his team and brand the eleventh overall victory in succession.
