Last weekend the first ever Moto3 World Champion, Sandro Cortese, was the central figure in a celebration party in recognition of his achievement at his hometown of Berkheim. The German aced his – and KTM’s – first GP title with five wins and fifteen podiums. Thanks to Red Bull and a large gathering of fans (around 7000) Cortese was at the hub of street activities, aerobatic displays and was presented with his factory bike by KTM’s Pit Beirer, as well as a new Super Duke 390 so that the champ can still be an ‘orange’ rider even in his new Moto2 adventure in 2013.
