Down Under: The KTM X-BOW in Australia

There are 16,000 kilometers between Graz and Sydney, between the home of the KTM X-BOW manufacturer and the branch of the Australian import company “Simply Sports Cars” that has been officially importing the road-legal variety of the Austrian supercar since the beginning of 2017. At the same time, the Australian racing team “M-Motorsport” nearly managed to win the prestigious and legendary Bathurst 12 hour – and naturally in a KTM X-BOW GT4.

Sim Racing with the KTM X-BOW

For almost 10 years now, the KTM X-BOW, in its various versions, has truly proven its worth as an exceptional piece of (motor)sports kit for a wide range of requirements. However, the super sports car from Austria has now also become a hit among “sim racers” from around the world and is available in virtually all motor racing simulations!

Production of the KTM X-BOW at the Graz facility

Since 2008, the KTM X-BOW super sports car has been manufactured at a small but highly-advanced production facility in Graz, Austria. A key reason for this choice of location is the “Auto Cluster Styria” that has developed in and around the Styrian state capital. International companies such as Magna and AVL are headquartered here, and countless other suppliers have played their part in establishing Styria’s high-tech hub. “High-tech” also happens to be the perfect phrase to describe KTM Sportcar GmbH.

#inthisyear2007: the KTM X-BOW makes its debut at the Geneva International Motor Show

A car from Mattighofen? A conservative family car, or READY TO RACE on four wheels? It seemed inconceivable for fifty years, but became a reality exactly ten years ago.
